About Us

A Little About Brett:

Brett is originally from Haileybury, Ontario. He moved to Charleston in 1993 to play professional hockey for the South Carolina Stingrays. He was the captain for his entire 10-year career with the Rays, winning two Kelly Cup trophies and resulting in the team retiring his number. Brett’s dedication and performance earned him induction into both the Stingrays Hall of Fame and the league’s ECHL Hall of Fame.
Brett is no stranger to hard work and his efforts were displayed both on and off the ice.  He started Marietti Fence Company in 2000 while still playing hockey. Once he retired from The Stingrays and hung up his skates in 2003, Brett dedicated all his efforts to making Marietti Fence Company into what it is today – high quality, professional, and dependable. His workload includes both residential and commercial fencing and he prides himself on being the local fence professional for several local builders. He is committed to making sure every customer is satisfied with their fence, and the pride he takes to ensure that his fences last multiple decades is indicative of his workmanship, work ethic, and constant drive to be the best.
